Urodynamic Testing
Dr. Terrell performs Urodynamic Studies in our office. A urodynamic study is a series of tests that gives the physician a detailed look at the function of your bladder and urethra. These tests can help your physician evaluate any problems you may be having with storing urine or voiding (eliminating) urine from your body. Possible problems that you may have with storing or voiding urine include the following:
You may be incontinent (leak urine). Your bladder may not empty completely. You may have symptoms, such as the frequent need to urinate or a constant, urgent need to urinate. Your urine stream may be intermittent or weak. You may have persistent urinary tract infections. You lose urine while coughing, laughing, sneezing, lifting, or running.
If you have experienced any of these problems, let us know at your next visit, or schedule an appointment to talk to Dr. Terrell regarding your treatment options. There is help available for these problems, give our office a call today so that we may start helping you.

June 2011 News
Scene Magazine Article (Trusted, experienced and here to help)
Two of our patients were featured in the local Scene Magazine 'Health Scene' June 2011 edition. Both patients have benefited from different surgical procedures offered and performed by Dr. Terrell here at Bronson Battle Creek. The article focused on the trust and bond that a patient places not only on their physician for their care, but also the hospital to ease any apprehensions that they may have regarding the whole surgical experience. The first patient had a robotic hysterectomy and sacrocolpopexy (a procedure to support pelvic organs that have slipped out of their normal positions) and the second patient had an endometrial ablation (destruction of the uterine lining). Both patients had extremely positive experiences with Dr. Terrell, our staff and the hospital. We would like to thank our two patients for placing their trust in us and the positive feedback given in the article to Dr. Terrell, our office and the hospital. Check out the article if you get a chance!

March 2010 News
Dr. Terrell gave a talk on Pelvic Organ Prolapse and Urinary Incontinence at the Burnham Brook Center in Battle Creek, on March 10th. The talk was well received as evidenced by the over 120 people in attendance who ask a lot of questions about a subject that is usually not mentioned until a problem occurs. Dr. Terrell had several participants tell him afterward that they appreciated the information being presented in a clear and easy to understand manner.
Dr. Terrell is now performing daVinci robotic-assisted laparoscopic sacrocolpopexy for pelvic organ prolapse. This procedure lifts fallen pelvic organs (bladder, vagina, uterus) to their correct position. Prolapse is a very common problem in a significant number of women. The robotic approach enables the procedure to be done with smaller incisions, less pain and quicker recovery than a traditional open procedure.
If you have questions about the options available to you for either of these problems, we would be happy to schedule an appointment for you to come in and discuss them with Dr. Terrell. Your health and well-being is important to us!
